Extra Virgin cold-pressed coconut oil: pick health-food name brands.

Coconut oil has been shown to have powerful anti-viral, anti-fungal, and anti-microbial effects. Used internally (eaten) and externally (on the skin).

If your family will let you cook with it, that would be great. Many don't want coconut flavored meals.

It is difficult to get a child to take a Tablespoon of oil, but the oil could be made into coconut macaroons or some similar confection.

Create dosage that are easy to swallow pill size. At room temperature, coconut oil is liquid. Place into refrigerator, take out before totally hard, cut into 1 Tablespoon servings, return to refrigerator so it becomes very hard. If you feel this is too large to be swallowed, then half it again (and again if necessary) so that it is small enough to swallow.

Coconut oil is claimed to be a cure all by islanders for centuries. One lady cleared up 90% of her eczema in only two months. She puts two tablespoons daily into a protein shake. The oil hardens when it hit the cold liquids. Because she shakes it up, it only makes small beads which are easily swallowed with the shake.

A fuller explaination of coconut as a medium MCT oil is in the Comprehensive Guide to Autism. Hyperlink to that page and search for coconut. It is a huge e-book.
